BEVERLY — There’s no doubt that a lot is happening on Rantoul Street, and many of the new housing developments in progress there are being built by Beverly Crossing, an arm of Windover Development.
At 131 Rantoul St., the company is planning to open 72 apartments this summer. Down the road at 480 Rantoul St., site work is underway for 90 new apartments.
Now, Beverly Crossing is contemplating the future of the Kelly Ford dealership at 211 Rantoul St., according to Chris Koeplin, Beverly Crossing’s president. The dealership was acquired back in the summer of 2015 with the idea that it would remain a dealership for several years before being redeveloped into housing.
The company expects to complete the permitting process this year, Koeplin said, with a groundbreaking next spring.
“We have a long way to go, but that’s our hope,” Koeplin said.
