Councilor calls Foundry process egregious; city manager says project not finalized

foundryCouncilor Nadeem Mazen and dozens of residents expressed their disappointment Thursday night with the most recent proposal for the Foundry building.

The proposal for the 53,000-square-foot building includes an assembly hall, maker space, shared office and co-working spaces, and a kitchen that will be used by a restaurant as well as community programs, according to the Cambridge Redevelopment Authority.

The developers, CIC/Graffito SP, are also required to commit a minimum of 10,000 square feet of the project to community use, according to the city’s website. The Chronicle profiled the proposal following it’s unveiling in September.
