BRAINTREE – A decision on the proposed Petersen Pool/Rink is on hold until at least December.
Planning board Chairman Robert Harnais said the board is awaiting an independent engineering review of the plan. He added that one of the board members will be unable to attend the November meeting.
The board first heard the proposal in March, and it had been scheduled for discussion at the board’s meeting Tuesday night.
“Something good takes a lot of work,” Harnais said. “And we’re working hard on it.”
The board is seeking information on the traffic the complex would generate and how drainage in the area would be impacted.
Harnais wants a full board to decide on the special permit needed to start construction on the complex.
“We want a full board so everyone can have input on it,” Harnais said. “We want to have other eyes on this.’
