WinnDevelopment Co. has kicked off a city review of its proposed 50-unit, mixed-income East Boston residential development that would replace the Boston Housing Authority’s aging Clippership Apartments affordable housing built in 1974.
The Hub developer plans to demolish the deteriorating four-building, 20-unit BHA apartments in Maverick Square and replace them with two new buildings. One would house 20 low-income, three- and four-bedroom apartments and a community room, while the other would include 30 workforce and market-rate condos, from studios to three-bedrooms.
