Boston Real Estate Collaborative and Urban Core Development are hoping to construct a new six-story addition with 28 apartments to the 1065 Tremont St. residential project they completed last spring in Roxbury.
The proposed 31,500-square-foot follow-on project would add 24 market-rate and four affordable units to the Hub-based developers’ existing six-story building with 16 apartments and commercial space at the same location.
“As with the construction of the existing building, the proposed addition will serve to further complement the energy and vitality of the Tremont Street corridor by increasing residents and foot traffic,” the companies’ project filing with the Boston Planning & Development Agency states.
The filing further states “The addition will continue to bring new residents to a portion of the city that is capable of supporting more people and, most importantly, it will do so without displacing any existing residents.”
The apartments would range in size from a 370-square-foot one-bedroom to a 1,706-square-foot, four-bedroom duplex.
