BRAINTREE – The planning board hearing on the proposed sports complex at Braintree High School has been postponed once again.
Planning and Community Development Director Christine Stickney said the postponement is because one of the five board members is unable to attend Tuesday’s board meeting.
The new hearing date is Oct. 18.
The complex would be built on a 6 acre site at the corner of the high school campus adjacent to Town and Granite streets. It would include the Petersen Pool, two regulation-sized ice rinks, an indoor synthetic turf field and related facilities. The pool has been the subject of local debate for more than a half-century.
