MBTA names 3 potential construction teams for $2B Green Line extension

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority has announced a shortlist of three contracting teams that will bid on the $2.3 billion reboot of the troubled Green Line rail extension project, according to MassLive.

The three joint venture teams include companies that have vast experience with infrastructure projects. All bids will be for design-build services.

The three teams include: GLX Constructors (Fluor Enterprises, The Middlesex Corporation, Herzog Contracting Corp., Balfour Beatty Infrastructure); Green Line Partners (The Lane Construction Corporation, Salini Impregilo, Judlau Contracting, LMH-C.M.C. di Ravenna Joint Venture); and Walsh Barletta Granite JV (Walsh Construction Company II, Barletta Heavy Division, Granite Construction).
