NATICK – Town Meeting on Thursday overwhelmingly approved $665,000 toward design and related work for a new West Natick fire station.

Members quizzed town officials on finances for the project, but approved the funding 115-1. The funding comes from money contributed by the developer of the Chrysler Road Chapter 40B housing project.

Town Administrator Martha White said the money adds to $560,000 (which also came from a developer) that Town Meeting previously appropriated.

White said the town has hired an architect and owner’s project manager and needs the $665,000 to fully fund the design and related work.
